Highmark's technologies are based around the world's most advanced Anaerobic Digestion System - GPAD.

Anaerobic Digestion is a natural biological process that Highmark's technology primes and accelerates - converting virtually any organic material into 100% renewable energy in the form of biogas and 100% renewable bio-based fertilizer products. GPAD is unique in its ability to process tough-to-handle material such as feedlot and other large-scale agricultural "wastes", municipal solid "waste", and industrial processing "waste". In fact with GPAD we don't see "waste" at all, we see "opportunity"!

Better Biofuels

Highmark's expertise in Anaerobic Digestion led us to develop the Integrated BioRefinery Technology for better biofuels.  The Integrated BioRefinery technology links Anaeobic Digestion with other industrial processes (like ethanol plants) and large scale agriculture operations (like feedlots) in such a way that there is zero-waste - all the products of each process are either sold as high-value, premium products, or become raw material for another bioRefinery process.
